Privacy Policy for location.lol

Overview

location.lol is a web map for looking up places around an address or your current area. Num Num OU (operating as 7x network) publishes it. The loc8 app uses the same service and has its own privacy policy at /loc8/privacy.

Location and searches

If you allow location, the site uses it to center the map and search nearby. You can also type an address and skip device location. Coordinates and the tags you search (for example cafe, gym, beach) are sent to Google Maps and Google Places so the map and the result list can be drawn.

We do not store your raw GPS coordinates on our servers. Place details, ratings, photos, and travel-time estimates come from Google and can be incomplete.

Accounts and analytics

Some parts of the service, including the loc8 app, use a Google sign-in and a Firebase login record (user id, email, and sign-in provider) to operate the account and limit abuse. The website may also record product analytics about searches so we can keep the map usable.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page will change.
